I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year's eve. We enjoyed our time with our friends Bob and Sonja, enjoying good food, great drinks, and amazing company. It was definitely a good way to ring in the new year.
Now, 2024, what do you hold for us?
We are still looking to upgrade our boat - there are currently two we are considering - both in Florida. Michael flew out last week to go look at one of them, the other we are waiting on them to get back to us, so hopefully he can fly out and take a look at that one soon and we can make a decision and make a move.
I have some interviews lined up for next week (all with the same company, so fingers crossed). This was a referral for me from a guy I used to work with. He is a great architect, (and a nice guy), so I am hopeful I will get the chance to work with him again. I'm also chatting with my last employer - I enjoyed working there most of the time - I just got overwhelmed at the end. We had moved, were working on living arrangements, trying to learn to sail and buy a boat, AND we had three key people leave in a two month span at work. All of that just burned me out and I felt overwhelmed, though I am thankful. I would not have given up this year for anything. Spending the time learning the boat systems, things completely foreign to me, and winning, was an amazing feeling.
We are expecting great things for 2024, and look forward to what this year will bring! I hope it has as many blessing in store for all of you as well :-)
Stay derpy my friends!
