We did go sailing the weekend of the 9th - Saturday was a beautiful day, we spent about 5 hours out on the water. The winds were light so we were able to get tons of practice tacking and trying different headings and just generally learning Galveston Bay. We all took the helm, we all worked the jibsheets and the main, working on trimming, trying different points of sail, and just enjoying the heck out of every single minute.
Bean tackled a project on the bow of the boat - there was a rust spot from the storm damage. We had originally covered it with some flex tape, but after a little pier pump when parking we found it wasn't really protected and had rusted quite a bit. She pulled off all the flex tape, sanded it down really well, and put some primer on it to protect it - it looks much nicer now!
Other than that, I replaced the nav station outlet with a gfci and we got the galley outlet installed, so the last electrical project is just the radar, which I will be tackling soon
The big projects I started tackling were more administrative - I took an Azure architecture class as I prepare to go back into the workforce. We are talking about another move - so we are closer to the boat - right now it is a 45 minute drive - so I started looking at apartment options closer to that area.
Best of all, I finally started a YouTube channel - so now I am starting to have a little fun with posting videos and just starting to dabble in video editing. I've only posted a handful of videos - but please check them out and give me any feedback :-)
I have a few videos of our most recent sailing expedition out there, along with some older clips (some previously posted here).

We are planning to meet some friends tomorrow night in Seabrook and enjoy dinner together and then go out sailing again this weekend - hopefully both Saturday and Sunday, let's hope the weather holds!
