With the engine running, it is time to get ready for our trip to Seabrook Shipyard to get the mast pulled. Tuesday I had a regular dr appt, so most of the day was spent doing that, and then we went back to the boat, unpacked and relaxed. Did a little admin stuff in the morning, but mostly just a relaxing day.
Today we needed to get the boat ready for the trip. This meant getting my cabin back to a sleeping place, storing things in the lazarette, and moving extra stuff to storage for a little while.
We had a little bit of a late start because we have a new neighbor! Last night, a new boat parked next to us. We had met the owner once before when he was helping another tenant park his boat in the marina, so we chatted with him for a while in the morning and picked both his and Bill's (another friend in the marina) for tips/tricks about our upcoming trip.
After that, I got down to business and started going through all the stuff in my cabin and figuring out what we might want to keep on the boat for the trip, and what could be put in storage until after vacation. I also finally went through the tool boxes left to us by the previous owner - there were some very weird gadgets in the electrical one - and added my own tools/supplies to each so things are better organized now.
Then I made up my berth and cleaned the desk and I am very happy to have my own space back for a little while :-)
Tomorrow we'll do a couple little clean up things (tie down the stuff in the lazarette and top off the fuel), and then we will pull out the chart and bring up navionics and map out our route, should be a fun day!
