Girls Get Started - June 2, 2023

We definitely underestimated the Texas heat and humidity. We got up early, headed to the boat, and got started around 8:00 - and it was already starting to warm up. We cleaned the port side (took a bit longer as there was some surface rust from the mast cleanup that had stuck under the gas cans), and then started taping.

Bean started overheating by about 9:30, but I do heat better, so I was able to keep going and managed to finish taping the port side by about 10:30. With that, we called it a day!

We are hoping it will cool off enough this evening that we can give it a light sanding prep and then paint first thing tomorrow morning, but only time will tell!

Wish us luck! Now I am off to a nice cold shower to cool down :-)
