Today started as an admin day - it was payday so I had to do bills, always a great way to start a day ;-)
After that, I needed to pick up a couple things to hopefully get us ready for the weekend. I got some brake kleen to clean up the fuel tank threads before we install the new fuel line parts, I got some gasket sealant to work with our new npr gaskets when we put the access plates back on, and I picked up the new 90 degree fuel vent. Also picked up some household stuff while I was out.
Once back, I put the brake kleen to immediate use (after eating lunch of course) and gave the pipes a nice once over scrub down. I also started working on the head again, trying to figure out how this fuel venting is supposed to work. We have so little room to work with, and the hose is supposed to go up and then down to the vent to help stop water getting into the tank, I'm really not sure where it can go and be installed properly. We may have to settle for putting it in the lazarette and not being as high as we would like, or running it through to the head but then leaving the hose exposed in the head. Neither option is very exciting, but we will do our best. I will definitely consult Michael about it this weekend before putting any holes in the hull though ;-)
Tonight we will head back to the apartment and hang out with him, and then come back here bright and early to start on the fuel projects together (assuming the predicted thunderstorms end early like they are supposed to....)
