What's next? January 2023

We own a boat, the holidays are over, what's next?

Our current plan is to hire a captain to help us bring it down to Corpus Christi so I can do the work on it, but we have to find a good time to do that. We have made some friends here in the marina, and have learned that the tides are super important here with our draft (5'11). We will have to pick a time where the weather is good, and the tides are good, to try and navigate the ICW home.

We were originally planning to go offshore and overnight, but after talking to several people, with no radar or chart plotter on the boat, it is probably not the best idea because of all the oil equipment out there. So, we will take the 3-4 days down the ICW, anchoring or finding marinas, and getting lots of good experience :-)
